How Much Does a SEEK Job Ad Cost in 2026?

Published: 21 October 2026

A SEEK job ad has no single fixed price. SEEK sets each ad's price by job title and location, and says its ads "are variably priced and prices may change". The clearest published number is SEEK's smallest prepaid Ad Budget: $3,700 + GST for 8 to 10 ads. That is about $370 to $463 + GST per ad, and that is the discounted bulk rate.

Last checked: 21 October 2026 against SEEK's and Indeed's own pricing pages. Both platforms change prices, so confirm the figure in your employer account before you buy.

Why SEEK does not publish one price

SEEK prices every ad individually. The same Basic ad can cost different amounts for a forklift driver in Kwinana and a project engineer in the Perth CBD, because SEEK's price reflects demand for that role in that location. You see the final figure in the SEEK employer account when you write the ad, before you pay.

What the Basic, Advanced and Premium ad types change

SEEK sells three ad types. Basic gets standard exposure in search and recommendations. Advanced is promoted above it. Premium is prioritised and adds more candidate-targeting features. Each step up costs more for the same role and location. SEEK's Ad Budgets let you spend the prepaid balance on any of the three.

Is a SEEK ad worth it for a small Perth business?

SEEK has the largest job-seeker audience in Australia. For hard-to-fill or senior roles, that reach can justify the cost. For a role that attracts plenty of local applicants, such as admin, hospitality, retail, labouring or trades assistants, paying several hundred dollars per ad is often more than the hire needs. Many small employers combine channels:

  • A low-cost local board for roles with a strong Perth candidate pool.
  • Indeed's free job post, with optional sponsorship when a role needs a push. Indeed says agencies are ineligible for free accounts.
  • SEEK for the roles where its reach clearly earns its price.

How to keep job ad spend down

  • Put the salary range in the ad. It filters out applicants who would decline the offer, so fewer ads need re-posting.
  • Write the title the way candidates search. "Admin Assistant – Osborne Park" is found more often than an internal title like "Team Support Officer II".
  • Re-post only after checking the first ad's applicants. A second paid ad rarely fixes a vague role description.
  • Check local salary benchmarks first in our Perth salary guides.
